David and Alison Danforth joined MBF in the fall of 2012. At the time they were dating and searching to find a church home. Both grew up in Christian homes and knew they needed to find a place to put God in the center of their relationship, they felt right at home when arriving and knew the Lord had a plan for them at MBF.
David a native of Waco, grew up in Robinson, Texas. After graduating from Robinson he attended University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas where he played football for 4 years. He was a 3 year all american, a career ending knee injury while preparing for the combine, sent him back to Waco. Shortly there after him and Alison met. Alison came to Waco in 2005 to attend Baylor University, growing up in San Angelo, Texas, Waco was a great new start for her. She graduated in 2008 with her BS in Education/Sports Management, Minor in Business Administration. David and Alison were married in 2015, Pastor Tommy and Pastor Bryce performed the ceremony. In 2018 they had their first child, Cru, God answered their prayers through this miracle baby. Cru is now 2 and loves being a part of the MBF family.
Throughout the years their walk with the Lord has grown and their love for their church is evident in their commitment to the church through many facets. Alison and David have served as the Young Adult leaders since 2016. They enjoy spending time with the young adult members and growing the church through this group. David is part of the worship band and plays the drums and also serves as a Deacon. In 2017 there was a need for a Sunday School program in our growing church, Alison stepped in and started the Children's program and also serves as Executive Pastor. Both love their community and have been able to serve and give back through many MBF projects.
